Blue Brook Farm is proud to present the 2004 3 year old Holsteiner Champion and the 2005 Reserve Champion Holsteiner Stallion, Landonn I. Landonn has only the best European Holsteiner blood in his pedigree, which includes the recently approved motherline 6660, whose own stallion sons have passed in Germany in the past ten years with almost 100% approval status! Landonn is a people friendly stallion who shows versatility for both jumping and dressage, and is currently competing and training for BOTH disciplines. He consistently scores extremely high in dressage earning 8’s and 9’s on gates which are beautiful, and he is rewarded by judges for his excellent behavior. Judges are commenting that ‘LANDONN I is one of the best “up and coming” young stallions to breed to regardless of the discipline bred for.’ Very few young stallions have ever shown the consistently in quality in their first foal crops. Furthermore, LANDONN is the only approved stallion son of Lordship in the US, and the only approved stallion of the exclusive premium motherline 6660 in the US. Wise breeders are taken full advantage of this rare select stallion. Even with his first foal crop, LANDONN beat much older seasoned stallions, like Riverman, in USEF Leading Sires Rankings. The QUALITY is unsurpassable. |

Why do Breeders choose Landonn, and he is our busiest stallion EVER?
It is important to recognize the history of the Holsteiner horse, when you choose a Holsteiner stallion, especially if you are pairing that mating with a mare other than Holsteiner blood. Holsteiners, or horses bred or guided by the Verband in Elmshorn, Germany, are traditionally one of the best line-bred performance horses today. This is why you find many Olympians and international riders who choose them as their top mount. They are a powerful breed, with strong lines, gorgeous top lines, a lovely refined head and excellent dispositions.
The Holsteiner was bred for hundreds of years with diligence. Motherlines, or Stems (Stamms) were given to breeders who had developed generations of mares with a proven success. Any quality Holsteiner today will have an associated Stem attached to their pedigree. The importance of the motherline (Stamm) bears great significance on what the potential horse or potential breeding of the horse will be able to do. Remember, these stems have been in practice for hundreds of years, so that now, in Germany they can be used as a breeding guideline to produce a desired type of horse out of a planned union of the mare and stallion. It is a science that is handed down through generation of families and breeders. Stems are taken very seriously.
Landonn I carries the Stem 6660, a very young Stem line, but one that in recent years has raised a lot of German eyebrows. In 1995 the Holsteiner stallion, Bollvorms Lagunas, Stem 6660, passed his 100 day test in Germany with a phenomenal jumping index of 137.45. He is currently standing at stud in the Netherlands. In 2005, the stallion Calico, Stem 6660, just passed his initial approvals in Neumunster through the Holsteiner Verband and is now standing at the famous facility Gestute Sprenge in Oldenburg Germany. In 2007, Calico’s brother Cortado, also passed with excellent marks from the judges. He was sold for 105,000 Euro to Denmark as a 2 year old.
Landonn’s mother, Madeliene, a States Premium Mare in Germany, is daughter to Caprice III, who is the mother of the stallions Bollvorms Lagunas, Calico and Cortado. Caprice III was bred to Ariadus, an Accord II son in Germany at the time, to produce Landonn’s mother. The Accord II bloodlines added wonderful temperaments and super rideability, and jumping that is spectacular. Both Stems (6660 and 2004/ Ariadus) have traditionally produced friendly, rideable horses, that are sizeable and strong in type, pretty to look at, and jump the moon. Lordship, Landonn’s father, (Stem 2495) was a top stallion for the Verband. He was leased to Denmark to help with the Danish bloodlines, and while he was there, Lordship qualified for the Danish National Championships, not only in jumping but in dressage also. Regretfully, Lordship has recently passed and so leaves behind 3 approved sons. One in Great Britain, one in Germany and Landonn I in the United States.
It is with these impeccable bloodlines, the Landonn I, comes to the US as one of the best breeding stallions today. In breeding warmblood horses, the genetics of the parents are an integral part of your program, both in phenotype and genotype. Landonn I will be the best stallion to help you get there, in your first generation of superior sport horses.

Client and Warmblood Breeder, Jane Hartleroad of Selah Way Farm “I have selected my broodmares carefully...considering not only bloodlines, conformation, movement, athleticism, and temperament...but the "gut-feeling" I get in regard to them. I have selected Landonn with the same care, and for the same reasons. It is with great excitement that I await my first Landonn foal in May 2007. When I discovered that my local vet had limited equine reproduction experience, I took my maiden mare to Blue Brook, where she conceived on her first insemination! If I feel insecure in regard to my maiden mare foaling-out at home, I know I have the option of having her foal at Blue Brook, under the watchful eye of Brooke and Dr. Jana Tuckerman. I know I can count on Brooke for guidance in showing my youngsters. If I have a colt I think is worthy of stallion testing, I know I can turn to Brooke for advice and training. For me, Landonn and Blue Brook are a complete package.” Jane Hartleroad - Selah Way Farm– Walker, WV |

Client Penny Barrick on her success with her LANDONN foal. “Agent is not only beautiful confirmation-wise, but her personality is outstanding. She is very interested in people as well as other horses and her surroundings. She is very brave and will walk right up to new people to say hello. She learns very quickly. She leads great in a foal leader; although, she would prefer to walk around and explore, she is very compliant when I ask her to walk up. She has learned to respect my space and the fact that I am not a horse. She is not pushy when asking for attention--BUT LOVES the attention, and will ask for it often. She truly likes to be scratched/rubbed everywhere on her body and also likes baths on hot days. She also allows me to pick up all four feet without fighting to get away. She learned that in just a few very brief lessons. When she is tired, she will lay down and look at me until I sit by her and let her lay her head on my lap.”
